Erin McCandless Takes Honors at Mercyhurst Student Art Show

Erin McCandless of Titusville, PA, was among nine Mercyhurst University art students to receive special awards during the opening reception for the annual Juried Student Art Show, held Feb. 24-March 4 in the university's Cummings Art Gallery.

McCandless, a senior majoring in Graphic Design, entered a piece titled "View from Notre Dame," photography. In all, more than 40 student artists were represented in this year's exhibit, which included ceramics, sculpture, photography, painting and drawing.
