Kristina Weimer appears in debut performance of Mercyhurst Ballet Theatre

Kristina Weimer, a junior Dance major from Belle Mead, NJ, was one of six dancers in the new Mercyhurst Ballet Theatre (MBT) to make its debut Oct. 6 at a Cleveland, Ohio, performance by Ballet Magnificat!, a renowned liturgical classical ballet company based in Jackson, Miss.

MBT co-directors Tauna Hunter and Michael Gleason created MBT to challenge a small group of very talented dancers. They premiered "Unbound Sculpture" by Mercyhurst graduate Sarah Grace, who is pursuing a career as a freelance choreographer in New York City. The Cleveland Ballet Conservatory, directed by Mercyhurst dance alumna Kerry Skuderin, was also featured in the performance.
